How does vein dysfunction occur?

Vein dysfunction can lead to the development of varicose and spider veins…

Vein dysfunction occurs when the walls of the vein become weaker and retain more blood than normal, causing enlargement along the segment of the vein. As a result of this the valves of the vein begin to dysfunction, creating a backflow of blood which generates visibly distorted veins.
