Vein Doctors Group offers thorough evaluation of varicose veins

Varicose veins are a common problem, and although they are visible by the naked eye, thorough evaluation is required for optimal treatment

Here at Vein Doctors Group in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ballina, Mackay and Cairns,we offer ultrasound-guided treatment of varicose veins. This helps our doctor treat varicose veins with pinpoint targeted knowledge of the vascular tissue below the surface of your skin. We will also be able to detect any anomalies that may complicate treatment and avoid these structures. We also use ultrasound to determine the effectiveness of treatment as we monitor the progress with treatment.

We offer three solutions to varicose veins:

  • Micro Sclerotherapy
  • Endovenous Laser Ablation
  • Ultrasound guided Sclerotherapy

Our treatments are suited for varicose veins on the legs and veins on the arms. These are two common places where people desire to treat their veins as they are two of the most visible parts of the body. Here at Vein Doctors Group
we are happy to offer micro sclerotherapy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation. Both of the sclerotherapy options involve the use of a sclerosing solution that will be injected directly into the vein. The sclerosing solution will cause the walls of the vein to stick together and close – therefore stopping abnormal blood-flow through the vein. This vascular structure will then deteriorate and be absorbed by the tissue in the body. This will eradicate visibility of the abnormal veins as the vein itself is absorbed.

Ultra-sound sclerotherapy and the prediction of spider veins

Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy enables us to locate the vein and have a clear visible guide to provide treatment. Ultrasound-guided treatment also enables our doctor to determine the underlying cause of veins and prevent the potential creation of spider veins in the future. We will determine incompetent veins that need to be treated, which can cause superficial (aesthetic) spider veins in the future. It is our goal as vein doctors to treat existing veins and prevent the formation of varicose veins and their complications in the future.

We also treat spider/“cosmetic” veins

Our vein treatments are designed to eradicate superficial veins by treating the source. These are the veins that are noticeable by the naked eye that are not crucial to body circulation. Veins that are required for body circulation are located within the muscles and are responsible for pumping blood through the heart and body. If you have varicose veins they can actually impede this process as the body strains to send blood through the damaged vein.

Once your treatment is complete you will be provided with a compression stocking which will help complete your treatment. Our doctors at Vein Doctors Group are here to help you through your treatment. We aim to make each treatment as comfortable as possible.
