Chief Vascular Sonographer

Australian Ultrasound Specialists

Rylee White is the founder and Manager of Australian Ultrasound Specialists and brings over 20 years of experience as a general sonographer, with a decade of dedicated specialisation in vascular ultrasound.

Rylee has played a key role in developing advanced imaging protocols for the assessment of complex vascular conditions, particularly those linked to compression syndromes. These include conditions such as POTS, chronic pelvic pain, leg swelling, complex regional pain syndrome, and a range of neurological symptoms. Her work has significantly improved access to accurate, targeted diagnostic imaging for patients who previously struggled to receive clear answers.

Rylee is deeply passionate about ultrasound as both a profession and a clinical tool, and she remains committed to advancing diagnostic capability through ongoing research, education, and clinical refinement. Her focus is not only on accurate diagnosis but also on ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

With extensive experience training other sonographers and working closely with medical specialists, Rylee continues to elevate the standard of vascular imaging around the country. Her ability to clinically assess patients with complex comorbidities is strengthened by her broad background in general sonography, including work in breast imaging, interventional musculoskeletal clinics, paediatrics, and private general radiology.

Before founding Australian Ultrasound Specialists (formerly called Absolute Ultrasound), Rylee worked in corporate roles as an ultrasound applications specialist and account manager, supporting other diagnostic practices to enhance their services. This diverse experience gives her a unique perspective on both the technical and clinical aspects of sonography.

Rylee holds a Master of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound from Monash University, a Master of Genetic Counselling from Griffith University, and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, also from Griffith University. She remains actively involved in sonographer education and regularly updates clinical protocols in line with the latest research and emerging treatment opportunities identified by referring specialists.
