COASTAL MEDICAL SERVICES TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Coastal Medical Services is the home of Hole in the Heart Clinic, Lipoedema Surgical Solution, Metrocentre, Vein Doctors Group and Swollen Legs Clinic. These brands have their own individual websites that are covered by these Terms & Conditions.

Collection of Information via our Websites

In Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 deals with your information privacy rights.

Our internet service provider makes a record of each visit to the website. When you visit our website, the following list provides an example of the information that may be logged for statistical purposes only:

  • Your server address
  • Your top-level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, etc)
  • The date and time of your visit to the site
  • The pages accessed and documents downloaded by you
  • The previous site visited by you
  • The type of browser used by you

Coastal Medical Services websites may use the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Coastal Medical Services websites.

If you fill in a contact form, download a brochure, complete a quiz, or make an online booking the following list provides an example of the information that may be logged on our website:

  • Phone Number

By using our services, you agree that we may collect and use information relevant to your interactions with us for marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, updates about our products and services that may be of interest to you.

By providing your email address to us, you agree for us to utilise email to communicate with you and send information that may relate to your healthcare and sensitive data. Financial Transactions

Online appointment bookings and payment for these appointments are done through a third-party website relying on their security and encryption services. Online booking transactions are secured by 256-bit SSL encryption. SSL technology encodes information as it is being sent over the Internet, helping to ensure that the information transmitted remains confidential.

Our third party is a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant provider and provides a certified infrastructure for storing, processing, and transmitting credit card information.

Refunds

A full refund will be provided for appointments cancelled more than 48 hours in advance. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment, a small administrative fee may apply and will be deducted from the refund.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with the service provided, we encourage you to make an appointment to discuss this with your doctor or another doctor on our team.
